Thanks again for booking the Jesse Lewis Comedy Hypnosis Show.
This guide is meant to help with the practical parts of planning the entertainment portion of your event. You do not need to use every section. Just use the pieces that fit your event, venue, audience, and schedule.
The goal is simple: make the entertainment easy to plan, easy to introduce, and easy for your audience to enjoy.
1. Where the Show Fits Best in the Agenda
A comedy hypnosis show works best when the audience is together, seated, and ready for a feature entertainment moment.
Best Times
- After dinner
- After awards
- After speeches or formal programming
- As the main evening entertainment
- After a long day of conference sessions
- Before dancing, social time, or the late-evening portion
Times to Avoid
- During meal service
- While dessert or coffee is still being served
- Too late after people have started leaving
- During noisy room transitions
- When the audience is split between multiple rooms
- After the event has shifted into casual bar/social mode
The show should feel like a planned feature, not something squeezed in after the room has already lost focus.
Simple Agenda Example
Cocktail / social time
Dinner
Short speeches or awards
Comedy hypnosis show
Final thank-you / closing remarks
Social time, music, or dancing
2. How to Describe the Show to Guests
You do not need to overexplain hypnosis before the event. In most cases, it is better to describe the show simply as clean, interactive comedy entertainment.
Short Description You Can Use
We have a clean, interactive comedy hypnosis show planned as part of the evening. The audience becomes part of the entertainment, and the show is designed to be fun, respectful, and easy for everyone to enjoy.

3. MC Introduction Copy
A short, clear introduction works best. The MC does not need to explain hypnosis in detail. The goal is to bring attention to the stage and let the show begin cleanly.
Simple MC Introduction

This is a volunteer-based show where members of the audience become part of the fun. Please give a warm welcome to Jesse Lewis.

4. Room Setup Tips
The show is flexible, but the room setup can make a big difference in how well the audience connects with the performance.
Ideal Setup
- A clear performance area or stage at the front of the room
- Audience seated where they can clearly see the show
- A sound system with a working microphone
- Enough room for volunteers to sit comfortably
- Lighting that keeps the performance area visible
- Minimal noise from the bar, kitchen, or adjoining rooms during the show
- One main contact person available before showtime
Important Room Note
The show works best when the audience is facing the performance area. If tables are turned away from the stage or people have to twist around to watch, the room can lose energy.
5. Sound and Technical Notes
Good sound matters. The audience needs to clearly hear the instructions, comedy, and interaction throughout the show.
Please Confirm
- Will there be a sound system in the room?
- Will there be a working microphone?
- Who is responsible for the sound system?
- Is there a stage or performance area?
- Is there power available near the performance area if needed?
- Will music, slides, or other event pieces use the same sound system?
- Is there a venue contact who understands the AV setup?
6. Keeping the Audience Ready
The show works best when the audience knows something fun is coming and the room is brought together before the entertainment starts.
Helpful Audience Flow
- Make a clear announcement before the show begins
- Encourage guests to return to their seats before the entertainment starts
- Finish dinner service before the show if possible
- Keep speeches and awards concise before entertainment
- Let the show be the main focus once it begins
7. What Not to Overexplain
It is usually better not to give the audience a long explanation of hypnosis before the show.
The show includes its own introduction and volunteer process. Too much explanation ahead of time can make the audience overthink it.
Avoid Saying Too Much Beforehand
You do not need to explain who can be hypnotized, how hypnosis works, or what volunteers will do. Keep the event description simple and let the show handle the rest.
8. Helpful Video Proof
If your committee, board, or planning team wants to get a better feel for the show, these videos may help.
9. Final Event Checklist
Use this checklist as the event gets closer.
