Sponsorship And Group Sales for the Jesse Lewis Hypnosis Show Guide:
The fastest way to sell tickets and pay for the Jesse Lewis Hypnosis show for your group is sponsorship. Sponsorship takes some time and you need to start a long time out. I suggest at least 10 weeks out from the event if you can.
How do you get the show sponsored you ask? You take a letter to every business in your community asking for sponsorship. Either in person or via email. In person will get much better results.
You return a week or so later asking them if they have decided to sponsor. You get a yes or no collect the money and start thanking them for sponsoring
If you got no response return again a week later. Sponsorship is time consuming but well worth it to help pay for your event before it even happens.
The 1 thing you need to remember is that if you are going to do this you need to serve your sponsors properly that is why they are sponsoring your event to get recognition and have a return on their investment. They are really paying for you to advertise them to your audience. In the past I have personally used what is outlined below to raise thousands of dollars for my own personal events!
You will need to decide on your sponsorship package prices In my personal package the rates are
Bronze: $250
Silver $500
Gold – $1500
Platinum – $5000
I have had groups have rates both above and below this rate. Some groups have charged as little as $50 for a sponsorship and as high as $7500 it depends on the event, how much you will be providing for your sponsors and how much your local businesses can afford.
In the below example letter you will need to change anything that is in brackets { }, ( ) to suit your group as well as do a grammar and spell check.
Here is the letter I hand out when I seek sponsorship for my own events:

The {YOUR GROUP} will be hosting the Jesse Lewis hypnosis show at {VENUE} and we are looking for your support as a sponsor. We know you get asked for sponsorship all the time and rarely get recognized in an appropriate way for it. It is important that you get recognition for your sponsorship which is why our packages are structured a little differently than others! We are contacting you this early because if you do decide to sponsor, we would need your logo to be placed in all of our marketing materials for the event. This would include: Posters, Signs at the venue, Table tent programs at the event, Facebook Posts, Instagram Posts and other social media.
Included with all sponsorship packages are tickets that you can use yourself or give to your staff as a thank you for the hard work they do.
Please see below for the sponsorship packages. We will message you again in about one week to see if you would like to sponsor the event.

Keep in mind that I have used this in the past to raise as much as $10000 for a single event. If you do implement this it can make your event profitable before the doors even open.
You may be thinking wow this is giving the sponsor a lot of things and it is because they are giving you money. There is another benefit acknowledging the sponsors as often as you are your group is giving them value. Other sponsors see this and want to take part as well – meaning you make even more money from those sponsors.
After the event – go above and beyond and thank them again publicly on Facebook and other socials do not forget to tag them! Some groups I work with in the past have even thanked sponsors via a full-page newspaper spread or radio ad after the performance. This will increase your chances of them sponsoring you again next year.
How many sponsors do you need? The answer is as many as you need to pay for as much of the show as possible.
Implementing the fulfillment of your sponsorship packages:

Face book thank you post – Graphic
This is relatively easy to do, you post a graphic on Facebook with your groups logo and the logo of the sponsor. This can be easily created in CANVA https://www.canva.com/ for free. Then you just schedule the post to go out at a certain time.

When designing your poster, you put the sponsors logo onto it and include their information in the description.

When designing your fb posts you add the sponsors logo to it and include their information in the description. (if you are using the promotional guide for the show you have pre-formatted posts, videos, and even press releases.)

Pretty simple at the show open your announcer thanks them on stage –(make sure you get a video for your social channels and post it)

You give them an appropriate number of tickets for their sponsorship. This way you can fill your seats even before the tickets go on sale!

Table tents are little folded paper tents that go on a table advertising something they can be easily printed off and are a great way to display a program. Put your sponsors logos on there too!

This is huge if you get a sponsor to do this you need to acknowledge them every single time you promote. So in all posters, social posts, and other marketing you would always say The Jesse Lewis Hypnosis Show presented by {your Group} and Sponsored by {NAMING SPONSOR}
Let’s talk about group sales.
Group sales are exactly what you expect them to be. You reach out to local businesses and offer them a bundle of tickets usually a table of 8 at a time for discounted rate. So, if you were selling tickets for $25 which would normally cost $200 for 8 you would offer a group of 8 for $175. Generally, if I am doing a sponsorship program I would package this into the sponsor packages under tickets included with sponsorship. The ticket price is up to you and your local market.
There is another type of sponsorship that some companies use to get their products in the hands of potential customers it is called an in-kind sponsorship. These businesses will give you product instead of money. When this happens, I suggest running a silent auction or even just use the products as door prizes. I still give these sponsors the same benefits as what the product would be worth with a sponsorship package.
